About LinguaPhil
Founded in 2010, LinguaPhil has grown from a small language tutoring service to the Philippines' premier language education center, serving over 5,000 students across our three locations.
Our mission is to empower Filipinos through language mastery, opening doors to global opportunities while preserving and celebrating our rich linguistic heritage.
Our Story
LinguaPhil began with a simple observation: despite the Philippines' strong English proficiency reputation, many Filipinos struggled with advanced language skills needed for global careers, while simultaneously losing connection with our native languages.
Dr. Isabella Magbantay, a linguist with a passion for preserving Philippine languages, partnered with international education specialist Miguel Santos to create a language center that would bridge this gap. Their vision: a learning environment that celebrates linguistic diversity while providing world-class language education.
Starting with just two classrooms in Makati City and a handful of dedicated teachers, LinguaPhil quickly gained recognition for its innovative teaching methods and culturally-grounded approach. Students experienced remarkable progress, leading to rapid growth through word-of-mouth referrals.
Today, with centers in Manila, Cebu, and Davao City, LinguaPhil has expanded beyond individual learners to provide corporate language training for multinational companies, preparation programs for Filipinos studying abroad, and community initiatives to preserve indigenous Philippine languages.
